Aloha !!!

Today...we re-visited Paani again....and brought some friends with us....the food was still nice as usual..but the owner changed some of the interior decor....

rice and hamburger off the menu....

choosing what food to eat was the difficult part since everything is sooo..nice there...

Today...went somewhere in the neighbourhood for high tea - some cakes and coffee...in the cool but sunny weather....nice scenery.

Back to School !!

the last few days...full of mind stressing and bogglings.....

Swallow Island

Better known as Layang-Layang Island is an isolated atoll-like ring of 13 connected reefs in a 14 sq km area. The whole island is only 7.5 km long and 2 km wide.Lying 300-km northwest of Kota Kinabalu,Sabah , East Malaysia Layang-Layang has become one of the preferred destinations for the avid diver who constantly seeks for new thrills and challenges.

as seen from Google Earth.. and the nearest mainland is about 300 km away.....

most of the dives are wall dives unless you go to the inner lagoon for shallow dives...wall dives are at limited depth because the island itself drops down to 2000 meter !

always our impressions when we are in the middle of the sea , the sea is so fierce with big waves...no..not here....except occasional storms.

and underwater....visibility sometimes is up to 40m...

the underwater life is so abundance and colourful

as seen from the airplane..small aircraft..small runway...no control tower...but full of paradise..

other than scuba diving , bird watching is also another interest there...that:s why it is called ' Layang Layang Island ' meaning Swallows in Malay language...

no big town...just small village and some shops but lots of small chalets and cottages the only big resort is this one.. not that expensive....but resort style if you like it..but I prefer nearer to the beach...more galleries here...

Getting ready for the New Year...all must move to different locations - facing directions has to change - to tap more wealth and prosperities - more infos here in english and here in japanese.

so ...yesterday...I did my office...look at the mess....

New Data Bank

Okay..got sick and tired of 'back up-ings ' - so I decided to buy this...almost 500Gb of space - hopefully no more headaches for the next 3-4 years....I hope !

Hell Broke Loose ....

You see....if don't listen to what your mama said...back up..! back up .! all your important files..!!

I did !! But one very little mistake I under estimated...I never use that ' safely remove your usb ' icon...so what ? ! It crashed and took all my photos away which I had been collecting for the last few years....

you call this a PC ? No...I called it ' octopus ' -

took me 2 full days to recover all the files , had to used file recovery softwares...

then had to transfer it to another disk.....

see the amount of files that I had to retrieved back ..that was only at 27 percent retrieving......

Summer is still far.....

I know it is still winter...but I've already started thinking about summer....and this island has always reminds me of good memories........

Windows 7 continue......

I like it...it's fast , light and the best Windows so far........

to those thinking of upgrading to Vista , just wait until this 7 comes out in the market...it's worth the wait !!

Freezing Cold !!

Yesterday , we had minus 2 degrees by 9 pm which was very cold for this time of the year ., but this morning the sun was bright and we had clear blue sky...but still feeling cold..reminds me of Ishigaki Jima ....in the summer or always summer...with all the friends around.....

As usual , every time I travel , would make it a point to stop and browse at the bookshops in the airport and this time , in Singapore I picked up this book which is my favourite topics about house designs ....
